Being born and raised in exile in Brazil, a reputed very violent country, since very young age he has studied several disciplines of martial arts as Judo, Kung Fu many styles of karate, Brazilian jiu-jitsu, Kali Silat, European fencing, etc. currently, holds black belts in Karate, Kobudo (Japanese weapons) and his main martial art, Aikido, holding the 5th degree of black belt certified by the Aikikai Foundation in Tokyo, Japan having trained with several great grandmasters like Yoshimitsu Yamada 8th Dan and direct student of the founder O-Sensei Morihei Ueshiba. The prince is known by a very practical and strong style of Aikido being a direct disciple of great grandmaster Steven Seagal 7th Dan from 1997 until 2002 being the pioneer of his teaching technology in South America and was responsible for forming several instructors in Brazil that are active masters today. The prince has received his first black belt in 1992.

Last month, HRH was inducted to the “Ultimate Warriors Hall of Fame” presided by the great grandmasters Al Dacascos and Ron Van Clief.

An interesting fact is that the very first martial arts book owned by the prince was “Kung Fu for beginners” in Portuguese, co-authored by great grandmaster Al Dacascos, father of the action star Mark Dacascos.

The “Ultimate Warriors Hall of Fame” has many huge names in the martial arts and action entertainment like Michael Jai White, Cynthia Rothrock, Silvio Simac, etc.

The prince declared: “I’m extremely honored and humbled to be part of the first class of the ultimate warriors hall of fame, along with many of my heroes.”
