The Sovereign Prince of Ghassan is distantly related to His Majesty King Charles III through his mother’s side from the British Walvy (Walwyn) family. ‪John (ap Philip) WALWAYNE is a 26th great grandfather of King Charles and also Prince Gharios’.

The Walwyn family (Walwyn of Longsworth) has very interesting history, being accounted by the famous genealogist John Burke as descending from the legendary knight Gawain, the nephew of eye mythological King Arthur. Actually the surname Walwyn is a transliteration of the name Gawain.
