A 2020’s Retrospective

Even 2020 being an extremely challenging year for all of us due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the Royal House of Ghassan, in its 1,800th anniversary, had numerous achievements.

HRH Prince Gharios has bestowed upon Her Highness Princess Sheikha Hend Al Qassemi the Equestrian Order of Michael Archangel. The United Arab Emirates is one to the most prosperous monarchies of the Middle East. In the same month, HRH Prince Gharios El Chemor and Royal House of Ghassan were recognized and honored by the African Kingdom of Bunyoro-Kitara, one of the constituent kingdoms of Uganda, being fully protected and legally recognized by the Republic today. The Sovereign Prince of Ghassan was recognized and honored by His Majesty the King (Omukama) of Bunyoro-Kitara with the rank of Knight Grand Cross of the Most Honorable Order of the Omukama (King) Chwa II Kabalega. Also, the Royal House of Ghassan was fully recognized by the Kingdom of Bunyoro-Kitara along with all the titles and Orders. HRH Prince Gharios El Chemor was the only Arab dignitary present at the special UN’s event remembering the over 6 million victims of the terrible Jewish Holocaust. The event was hosted by the permanent mission of the Holy See in the UN and organized by the Pave the Way Foundation presided by His Excellency Gary Krupp, GCSG, OStJ DCS. One of the main lecturers was the president of the Prinz Gharios Stiftung (Prince Gharios Foundation in Germany) Dr Michael Hesemann. Accompanying the prince was the Main Representative of the Royal House of Ghassan in the UN, Dr Robert Goldman. The Royal House of Ghassan is in Special Consultative Status with the United Nations. In the end of January, HRH Prince Gharios El Chemor has received a very prestigious martial arts award. The award was given during the largest martial arts event in the world, the Mega Martial Arts Hall of Honors 20th Anniversary at the Tropicana Hotel in Atlantic City, NJ. In March, HRH Prince Gharios El Chemor was especially invited to participate on the largest sports event in the world, the Arnold Sports Festival with over 22,000 athletes from 80 nations. The prince was a VIP guest of Dr Robert Goldman, Schwarzenegger’s business associate, a member of the US President’s Council on Sports, Fitness and Nutrition. In April, as part of the One Voice for Christians’ initiative, the Royal House has released a series of videos raising awareness about the situation of Christians in the middle east in association with Tyche-Fortuna Entertainment and co-sponsored by the IIRF – International Institute for Religious Freedom and the GH – Gebende Hände (Giving Hands International Charity of Germany). Also, a small documentary about IDC – In Defense of Christians, one of the most important organizations in the world for the cause.

In May, HRH Prince Gharios El Chemor has released a motivational video regarding the pandemic

Also in May, the prince has released a YouTube channel (in Portuguese) about Monarchy and Geopolitics.

In June, one of the most extraordinary landmarks, the world’s largest non-governmental body of Muslim leaders recognized the sovereign rights of the Royal House of Ghassan and its head. The same month, the Royal House of Ghassan releases commemorative postal stamp for the 18 centuries’ anniversary

Also in June, The Equestrian Order of Michael Archangel has released a promotional video

In August, the Royal House of Ghassan launched an online course about Monarchy and Geopolitics (in Portuguese)

In the same month, the prince made two official statements about the terrible explosion in Beirut, one in English and one in French

The prince also has given several interviews and lectures. One of the most noteworthy being the one about “Monarchy and Religion” to Rotary Club in Brazil (in Portuguese)

In October, HRH Prince Gharios El Chemor was appointed as member of honor of the Noble College Croce Reale in Italy. The Noble College has as patrons and honorary presidents the following prestigious European princes: HIRH Archduke Maximillian Habsburg-Lothringen, HIRH Archduke Karl Philip Habsburg-Lothringen and México and HRH Princess Maria Isabella of Savoy Genova. Still in October, The President of the Royal Ghassanid Academy of Arts and Sciences and the Protestant Grand Chaplain of the Equestrian Order of Michael Archangel Dr Thomas Schirrmacher was elected the new Secretary General of the World Evangelical Alliance. The World Evangelical Alliance (WEA) is a global organization of evangelical churches, serving more than 600 million evangelicals, making Dr. Schirrmacher the second most powerful Christian leader in the world, being just second to the Pope. In November, The Sovereign Imperial Royal House of Ghassan, in Special Consultative Status with the United Nations ECOSOC and officially recognized by the Government of the Lebanese Republic by Presidential decree number 5,800/2019, has opened an office in Geneva, Switzerland, in order to participate in the UN’s Human Rights meetings and discussions taking place around the Palais des Nations. Due to COVID-19 regulations, no special event was held to celebrate this important landmark, however the representation of the Royal House has been actively participating in the UN meetings since September. Also in November, was officially announced that HRH Prince Gharios El Chemor of Ghassan Al-Nu’man VIII was appointed to represent the FIMO (International Monarchical Forum) as the head to the United States and Lebanon delegations. The Forum aims to bring together all the world’s monarchists and all the monarchist movements, related Associations and non-governmental and governmental institutions of all countries.
